Conjugate vaccines are vaccines where the antigen needs to be chemically linked to a protein for it to be immunogenic. The antigen may be a small molecule, a peptide, a protein, an oligosaccharide or a polysaccharide. For unknown reasons, a particular carrier protein may work better than another for a given antigen. FinaBio provides several carrier proteins to allow optimization of the immune response. To simplify synthesis of the conjugates, each is also offered in a “Ready-to-Conjugate” format.
